From the Kitchen of Betty_Boop

Spaghetti with Meat Balls

Makes Several Servings

Can be frozen or canned for future use.

Ingredients for Meatballs

1 slice dried bread Crumbled

2 Eggs

3 TBS. Worcestershire Sauce

3 TBS. Soy Sauce

2 TBS.  Sweet Basil

Dash of Thyme and Oregano

1 TBS. Paparika and Salt

Let Stand 5 minutes to thicken.  ADD

1 1/2 LBS Ground Beef

1 LB Sausage I use 2 - 8 oz  Pork

breakfast links (Farmer John)


Mix well and form into balls.

Roll in flour and brown in skillet.

Put meatballs in bottom of large Kettle

Ingredients for Sauce

In another Pan  add

4 Medium Green Bell Peppers Chopped

3 Medium Onions Chopped

2 Cloves Garlic Chopped Fine

1 Bottle Hearty Burgundy Wine

3 TBS. Sweet Basil

Bring to simmer for 15 Minutes

Pour Sauce over Meatballs


4 small  Cans Tomato Paste

6 small Can Tomato Sauce

12 Fresh Mushrooms sliced

3 Bay Leaves

2 -3 Garlic Cloves

and 1 TBS more Sweet Basil



Let sauce simmer for  at least 3 hours.   The last hour add 3 heaping

Tsp. Sugar To Taste.     To cook your pasta

Boil about 4 - 6 Quarts  salted water.

Cook the amount of spaghetti needed for family Approx 8 - 10 minutes or until desired tenderness.    

Serve sauce and Meatballs  over Cooked Pasta
