Machine Butter Crust Bread

Terrie's Bread Machine White Butter Crust Bread
NOTE: (This is NOT a Gluten Free Recipe)
* Means a Variation of Recipe

Put the ingredients in order as listed into the bread machine

1/2 cup water + 3 Tablespoons Water
1/2 cup Milk
1 large egg
5 Tablespoons Butter ( Real Butter) I use Unsalted
3 Cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour * Or for a variation 1/2 cup Rye Flour

*Or you can do, 1/2 cup whole wheat, 1/2 cup Rye Flour and 2 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour

2 Tablespoons Wheat Gluten
3 Tablespoons Sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 Teaspoons active Dry Yeast (I use quick rising in Jar and I keep Jar in Freezer)

All all ingredients into bread Machine in order from top to down. Adding Yeast last
make a pocket in the flour to add the yeast.

Set Machine to Dough ONLY
When done, take dough out and add it to a glass or stainless steel bowl that
has been greased with shortening.
Cover with tea towel (I use Lint free towel.)
Let Rise until double in size, Punch down.
Then Form into 2 long French bread , Bread Tins or into Dinner Rolls
If making french bread I take a knife and score the top diagonally Not too deep, just
enough to make a little slice about every 2 inches.
Cover with lint free tea towels again and let rise again.

Bake in a pre heated oven at 375 degrees for 10 minutes
Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for another 15 minutes approx.
For darker Crust adjust your time on end.
